Definitions
a. Personal Data (Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR)
The provisions of the GDPR apply to the processing of personal data of natural persons. By definition, “personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”). A natural person is considered identifiable if they can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person.
b. Processing (Art. 4 No. 2 GDPR)
Under the term “processing,” the GDPR refers to any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure, or destruction.
c. Controller (Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR) and Processor (Art. 4 No. 8 GDPR)
“Controller” means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. Where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by Union or Member State law, the controller or the specific criteria for its nomination may be provided for by Union or Member State law.
“Processor” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.
d. Consent (Art. 4 No. 11 GDPR)
“Consent” of the data subject means any freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which they, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signify agreement to the processing of personal data relating to them.
e. Pseudonymization
Pseudonymization means the processing of personal data in such a way that the personal data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information, provided that such additional information is kept separately and is subject to technical and organizational measures to ensure that the personal data are not attributed to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
The legal bases for processing your personal data are provided in Article 6 of the European General Data Protection Regulation. Processing of your personal data is carried out either for the performance of your contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) with us, for compliance with our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), or for the purposes of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), unless your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms requiring the protection of personal data override those interests. In addition, processing may also be based on your consent, if you have given it to us.
Our legitimate interests consist in establishing and maintaining our business relationship with you, complying with internal standards and legal requirements, safeguarding assets, and pursuing legal claims.
Duration of Storage
Your personal data will be deleted if it is no longer required for the permissible purposes or if you withdraw your consent and we are not legally obliged or otherwise entitled to continue storing such data. Your data will be stored in particular within the framework of statutory retention obligations and as long as necessary for the assertion, exercise, and defense of legal claims or for the representation of interests and defense against allegations in administrative, judicial, or other institutional proceedings.
Collection of Access Data and Log Files by the Provider
Our provider (or the data center where the website is hosted) collects the information provided by your internet provider: in particular, the name of the website, date/time of access, amount of data transferred, the IP address assigned to you, the HTTP status code, information about the browser used, and the operating system you use, as well as, in some cases, the so-called “referrer” (the source page through which you accessed the current website or file). An evaluation – if carried out automatically by the web host – is made solely for statistical purposes, with the individual user remaining anonymous.
The collection of this data is also necessary to be able to trace (potential) misuse and therefore serves legal protection.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device with the help of your browser. They do not cause any harm. Cookies store information such as your preferred language, the items a customer has placed in a virtual shopping cart, or other personal site settings.
We use cookies to make our offering more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.
If you do not wish this, you can configure your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and allow this only in individual cases. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
Matomo
This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo (formerly Piwik), headquartered at 150 Willis Street, Wellington 6011, New Zealand. Matomo enables the analysis of user behavior by collecting information about the use of this website, which is then stored on our server. The use of this analytics tool is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Among other things, Matomo collects the following data: anonymized IP addresses, pseudo-anonymized location (based on the anonymized IP address), date and time, title of the accessed page, URL of the accessed page, referrer (if permitted), screen resolution, local time, various browser data (main language, etc.), and interactions with forms (but not their content).
Matomo has been configured so that no tracking cookies are stored, IP addresses are anonymized, and the collected data is used exclusively by us for the purpose of website analysis. The data will not be passed on to third parties under any circumstances.
You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
If the opt-out is activated, a so-called session cookie (mtm_consent_removed) will be set, indicating that consent has been withdrawn.

Third-Party Services
Third-party services may also be integrated into our website. With regard to these services, the use of personal data may be carried out by the respective providers, who are not within the responsibility of the provider of this website.
These services always require your IP address to display the content, as without the IP address the third-party providers could not send the content to your browser. We endeavor to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. However, we have no influence if the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Third-party providers may also send cookies to your web browser.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.
We reserve the right to update or amend this privacy policy if necessary. The current version can be found at srflow.com/data-protection.
